Sempai Hayley Baldwin
I have been training under Renshi Aaron Stevens for many years, My Mum took me to my first lesson at Kirby Jujitsu Club at the age of 8, I was hooked from the word go, I loved every minute and couldn’t wait for the next lesson. In those years I gained my purple belt and also achieved 2 trophies at presentation evenings. I then took a break for a few years stopping at the age of 12.
I returned to training with Renshi Aaron stevens at his new club A.S Jujitsu when he opened it in 2012, again I was hooked and after a couple of gradings i asked if I could start helping out with teaching the Junior lessons. I will admit it was a challenge as it was all new to me, but under the guidance of Renshi Stevens, who gave me the guidance and confidence to do well. After a few months I started training for my Junior Instructors title which I achieved in February 2014.
I then started teaching lessons under the watchful eye of Renshi Stevens. I was then asked to write and plan lessons to start building up in becoming an Assistant Instructor, to my surprise I was awarded the title of Sempai (Assistant Instructor) at the yearly presenation evening in November 2014.
I have now been helping teach for nearly 3 years and currently working towards my Brown belt and my Level 2 Instructors award with Cobra Martial Arts Association.
